Micaela Wood

Micaela Wood joined our staff in May 2007 as our Assistant Minister.

Caela and her husband, David Wood, have lived in Bloomington since the summer of 2005. Prior to her employment at First United, Caela worked on the IU campus for Residential Programs & Services.

Caela is currently attending Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis where she is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. She is also seeking ordination in the United Church of Christ.

Originally from Kansas, Caela attended Kansas State University (Manhattan, Kansas) where she earned a bachelor's degree in History. She also holds a Master of Theological Studies from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas).

Caela enjoys reading magazines, novels, and non-fiction; watching movies; cooking; and exercising. She also loves to spend time with her husband and beagle, Yankee.

Lisa Gober

In August 2005, Lisa Gober joined our staff as the Administrative Assistant.

Lisa comes to us from a job with Early Impression, a not-for profit organization out of South Central Community Alliance to Promote Education, a non-profit organization.  Before that she worked at Stone Belt for several years.

Lisa is a native of Bloomington and came back to Bloomington after living in Germany for three years.  She graduated from Bloomington High School North and attended Indiana University.  Lisa has two sons, Sean and Jason.

Lisa enjoys reading, bowling, dancing and traveling.
