 FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES

We support one another in Christian community. The First United Church provides many opportunities for fellowship in an extended family of faith. Some activities are on-going, others are organized for special occasions. Some of our regular fellowship opportunities include:

Coffee Hours. After service each Sunday, members of the congregation and visitors gather in Fellowship Hall for coffee and refreshments.

Circle of Women's Ministries. Opportunities for friendship and service with other women of the church, including monthly luncheons and service projects.

Men's BreakfastMen's Breakfast. A monthly Saturday breakfast with other men of the church, featuring guest speakers from the community.

Fellowship Dinners. Periodic opportunities for members and friends to gather in one another's homes to nurture our relationships within the community of faith.

Special Events. Special events for children are planned around festive seasons of the year. Typically at least one special children's event will be held in autumn, winter, and spring.

Prayer Chain. More than 25 church members are committed to respond to prayer requests.

Ministers of Care.  In addition to these social and service activities, specially trained and dedicated congregation members visit the sick and shut-ins

on a regular basis through the Ministers of Care

program. In a related ministry, congregation volunteers bring Communion to church members who are unable to attend regular services for health reasons.
